Important Update: Changes to Our Online Medical and Administrative Request System
From Tuesday 16 December, we will be introducing a new system for submitting online medical and administrative request forms at Derby Medical Centre. This means that the current online forms you may be familiar with will be replaced by a new, more advanced platform. While the purpose of the forms remains the same, you may notice that the layout, format, and the way information is requested will look slightly different from what you are used to.
As part of this change, you will now be required to provide your NHS number when submitting a request. This will help us to accurately identify your medical record and ensure your request is dealt with safely and efficiently. The new system we are introducing is called Blinx Healthcare - PACO. This platform has already been successfully implemented in many GP practices across the country and has proven to be a reliable and effective way of managing patient requests. By moving to this system, we aim to improve the way we receive, review, and respond to your enquiries, helping us to provide a more streamlined and responsive service.
During the initial transition period, there may be some minor disruption as both our staff and patients adjust to the new system. We completely understand that adapting to change can take time, and some patients may find the new forms take a little longer to complete at first. This is because the new system is designed to capture more detailed and relevant information at the point of request. Having this information from the start allows our clinical team to assess your needs more accurately, direct you to the most appropriate care, and, where possible, provide advice more quickly without unnecessary delays.
We would therefore like to kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this transition. Our team will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure the changeover runs as smoothly as possible and to support patients who may need a little extra help.
