2026/27 Housebound COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination Programme

If you are an eligible housebound patient, arrangements are being made for you to receive your seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at home.

This year, the two vaccinations are being organised separately for housebound patients. This is beyond our control as a practice.

Flu vaccination

GP Health Partners (GPHP), our local GP federation, will contact housebound patients directly to arrange a home visit for a flu vaccination.

You do not need to contact the practice or GPHP to arrange your appointment. The GPHP team has details of our housebound patients and will contact you when a visit date is available.

Please be patient if you have not yet received a call. There are a significant number of housebound patients to visit and the programme will take place over several months, potentially continuing until mid-January 2027.

You have not been forgotten and there is no need to chase GPHP for an appointment. They will contact you.

COVID-19 vaccination

Your COVID-19 vaccination is being arranged separately through a local pharmacy vaccination provider.

The pharmacy provider will contact eligible housebound patients directly to make the necessary arrangements. You therefore do not need to contact GPHP or the practice about your COVID-19 vaccination.

This does mean that your flu and COVID-19 vaccinations may be given on different dates and by different vaccination teams.

Newly housebound?

If your health has recently changed and you are now genuinely unable to leave your home to attend for vaccination, please let the practice know so that we can ensure your records are up to date and notify the appropriate team where required.

Please wait to be contacted

We appreciate that patients and families are keen to know when vaccinations will take place. However, we kindly ask that you do not contact GPHP or the practice to chase a vaccination date.

The appropriate vaccination team will contact you as arrangements are made.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while the local vaccination teams work through the housebound programme.
